1960s One Pagers--due Friday May 15th
Ok, guys. So, I changed the due date for the 1960s pair One Pager Collage/Presentations on your 1960s topics. Next week we will be finishing Vietnam and Mr. Klumpp will be speaking to us on Thursday the 14th. You don't want to miss that day and you want to be on time!!!! those of you in the play will be missing a very moving presentation. We might try to film it. Those of you in the play will also have to present your 1960s topics on Tuesday the 13th (before the play). You should be able to do this.
Guidelines for your One-Pager Collages on 1960s topics:
A one-pager is a single-page response to your reading/research on a topic. It is a way of making your own pattern of your unique understanding. It is a way to be creative and experimental. It is a way to respond imaginatively and honestly. It is a way to be brief and compressed in a world drowning in paper. A one-pager is a valuable way to own what you learn. We learn best when we can create our own patterns.
-Use unlined white paper
-Select theme or quotations(s) dealing with your topic listed below and write them on the paper.
-Use these as a springboard to explore your own ideas.
-Use a visual image or images, either drawn or cut out from magazines, to create a central focus for your page.
-Cluster around this image(s) impressions, feelings, or thoughts regarding what you have read or researched.
-Develop a question or two and answer them
-Create the one-pager in such a way that your audience will understand something of your thinking about what you have read or researched.
-Feel free to use colored pencils, pens, crayons, markers, etc.…
-The more visually appealing, the more your peers can learn from your pattern
These will be presented to the class on Friday May 15th (or Tuesday May 21th if you´re in the play).
Here are some examples of collages on other US history topics from a school in the US. Please check them out for inspiration / ideas.

change in due date!
One Pagers due Tuesday 19th. I forgot about Britmun and play...this makes it easier. There will be a test on Vietnam and Civil Rights Movement on Tuesday the 14th, though.
